Wurastore is primarily a small batch, handcrafted soap-making company manufacturing in Abuja, Nigeria, with outlets in Dubai, UAE, and Wilmington, Delaware, USA.
We carefully source our raw organic ingredients from local farmers and women who work so hard to produce honey, beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, infusions, herbs, and spices, in the rural villages across Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
We deploy cold & hot processes in soap-making.

Wura’s way of contributing to humanity is patronizing homegrown and home-produced organic ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil, African olive oil, herb infusions, honey beeswax, spices, and herbs made by local Nigerian women and widows.
We are also committed to empowering young startups in soap making by training and providing basic tools and equipment.
From The Soap Maker
The story of Wura began in 2017 when I was a founding member (along with my high school sisters) of a skincare product range. I began to develop an interest in soapmaking and later candle making, the more I researched the more I found the artisanal side of it interesting.
As a talent-driven artist, curiosity took over. I began to seek out classes I could take from the comfort of my home. Soon after, Covid 19 came. Lockdown happened forcing everyone to stay indoors, wondering what was going to happen next.
It was a global threat to humanity, anxiety grew, and I needed to do something. It had to be something that would occupy my thoughts. I dived into the world of soapmaking. That was my escape from the sad realities of the havoc of the virus. I found a hobby.
I joined classes everywhere; Asia, United States, Africa, Middle East, and India.Â
Each day brought excitement, especially with ‘around-the-clock’ classes, due to time zone differences. Equipment and tools purchases took over, and soon there was soap and candle-making stuff everywhere. It was time to move from a hobby to an enterprise
Friends and family were a great source of encouragement; they bought soaps and candle gifts, treats, and favors for just about every event.
We have been sustained by patronage from all around the world. With each order came a new request, a new challenge, and a new milestone.
We soon began making hotel amenities, followed by requests beyond soaps and room sprays to bathrobes, towels, bedding, guest slippers, and so on. The companies wanted to keep supplies and supplies to soaps. A new journey began.
We are a growing company enjoying the grace of each new day and enjoying the mercies therein.
I would say it has been a journey of learning as I also became a teacher while taking on the challenges of a property developer, soaper, chandler, and parent to two lovely teenagers.

Meet The Maker
Toyin Wura Oke
Toyin is the Managing & Creative Director at Wura Soap company. She is a graduate of Financial Management from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Over the last twenty-five years, Ms. Oke has leveraged her competencies in financial and project management to execute investments in real estate and construction successfully. She is involved in property development, and real estate markets in Abuja and Dubai, where she is a resident; and since 2019, a soap, and fragrance manufacturer.
As an entrepreneur, she delved into the world of construction and lighting, in 1993 and 1997 respectively. Urban Contractors was a Construction firm, later, under the parent company, First Consortium Limited, a real estate, property
development, and investment company, and also Fixtures Fittings Limited, a building materials retail outlet.
She was also the Publisher & Editor-in-Chief of The Entrepreneur Magazine by The Street Hawker in 2005, out of her passion for aiding the learning experience of small and medium enterprises.
Toyin is in the Hospitality industry as Signature Lifestyle, a chain of short rentals in Abuja & Dubai.
Toyin has a drive for excellence and a passion for innovation, creativity, enterprise, & artistry. She is a soap artisan and manufacturer of various products including natural handmade soaps, fragrances, and other items which she provides for hotels and resellers.
She is simply a dynamic, innovative, and visionary individual. She was born in September 1971. She is blessed with two children.
